NCO Forum For your interest, published this article written by a colleague know his name which led to our entire group (pasotas included). No waste and very clearly reflects the current situation and NCOs of our Armed Forces. In many countries around us so many heads would roll that could not walk, but ours is special case.
Amigo Bruno:
The vocation of service to the nation and our citizens has been the main reason why they decided to become military.
been many years and perhaps it grotesque that you commented, but tell me truly, who among us has not felt immense pride in wearing the uniform, wearing the cadeteras or adorn this elegant cap plate?.
Who was not excited when, at attention, listened to the tune of the national anthem, or have felt that strange pleasure to hear the din of our platoon saluting ordered our voice?.
In those years, we were young, willing. Laws did not know about military function, or three-year periods or years of service.
Our race was in the hands of our heads, in which fully trusted, because then we had taught. They would be responsible for ensuring our interests, because that was the concept of mutual loyalty.
We fed them for that vocation, of that illusion, that "personal satisfaction of accomplishment." But they say who feeds on illusion risk of starvation.
And that's going friend Bruno,
that the NCO is fed with his own vocation, and was intended to reward for their sacrifice and their families co his "deep satisfaction of accomplishment."
And he paid with his own love for service ... And while from their official cars and flags of office, these leaders we have entrusted the fully prepare their speeches for us to continue to maintain that capacity for sacrifice to
difficult times. But at the same time meet to settle "their thing." Compensation for "their thing." the dangers and circumstances just arduous nature are taken into account, while responsibility is rewarded repeatedly, casually "" responsibility, usually linked to employment.
And now, with the chance to see their aspirations undermined personal load again. "You have to compensate," they say.
And one young sergeant, proud, enthusiastic, loyal and trusting is getting old. And he sees that he handles the reins of the roost just look for yourself. His own career.
And this, now, old sergeant looks around, make sure that society is evolving, that their children have the same right to play with their toys than their bosses. And his wife the same right to brand clothing and wear it when the occasion requires, as the wives of their bosses.
Because we were the first to swear "Shed the last drop of our blood," and our complete availability has passed the examination of many triennia we accumulate. But that total availability is not a synonym for free. Because if he decides not think so for himself, why it must be for his subordinates?.
And if here we are all in the same boat,
Why some are paid to the "personal satisfaction of accomplishment" and others with older accessories?
Why to vicissitudes of the military profession one has to appeal to the sacrifice and others to financial compensation?.
I see many of our colleagues leave the Army through the door
side of the disillusionment and disappointment. disappointed pass withdrawal accompanied by medical reports that do nothing to back up their moods. And those who leave are not newcomers, no. Were young sergeants and perhaps more difficult times than these.
But we ended the illusion that fed. Meanwhile, since some firms were talking about rogue or something, while dialing a phone number to ask, "Madam Secretary, how is my application?".
Bruno, friend, I leave with that live hundreds of times we've thrown into the air,
Viva Spain! and live the Army (which should be)!.
